We're happy to host beautiful Celest Pereira, international Vinyasa yoga teacher based in London. Celest teaches regular classes at Triyoga Soho and London Equinox and holds workshops and classes on yoga conferences internationally.
Celest studied traditional Hatha yoga in India as well as around the globe with western teachers. She is a dancer from young age and has a degree in physiotherapy; both giving her a deeper understanding of movement and of the anatomy of movement.
She has a popular you tube channel with many tips and tricks on yoga and health in general, many practice videos on her website and has just published a book called "The yoga mentor".
Celest will teach four mini workshops as described below. Workshops are open to all yoga practicioners, regardless of their level (in terms of asana practice).

Schedule Saturday April 22nd
10:00 - 12:30 - INTELLIGENT VINYASA
The human body is incredibly complex and it's potential is limitless. This workshop will explore how we can maximise it's potential by stepping away from the traditional concept of alignment and creatively adjust the yoga we know and love. The first part of the workshop is a lecture that will take you through practical anatomy and we will break down how yoga is good and bad for your body, and what you can do about it. The second part of the session will be a strong vinyasa based flow class where we will integrate what we learned and explore our bodies potential.
14:00 - 16:30 FLOW THERAPY
This workshop will empower you to learn ways of creating positive change in your body through simple therapy techniques. The techniques are based on physiotherapy principles such as self massage, neural flossing, mobilisations, stretching and strengthening. It's a workshop that will not always be comfortable, as you might learn about where your body needs more attention, but it will be hugely empowering and you will be able to establish a self care routine that can help you master your body.

10:00 - 12:30 BEAUTIFUL BACKBENDS
Backbends are a central part of yoga and have the potential to make your body feel incredible. However they are also high risk and can result in injury if not performed well. This workshop will take you carefully through the anatomy of the spine and what healthy range of movement we should aim for. We will also practice a range of creative backbend variations with adjustments to deeper safely. In addition we will explore techniques that can be practiced at home to get your body to ease into backbends gently and safely over time.
14:00 - 16:30 ITS AN ADJUSTMENT
As students we often feel a pose change dramatically when we are adjusted, but often there is only one teacher and many students. This workshop is a chance for every student to not only feel receiving the adjustment but also learn how to give adjustments. Even if your goal is never to teach yoga, this is a chance to deepen your own understanding of yoga, the body and how touch can transform your practice. This workshop make you feel like you're floating on a cloud.
